We watched the mens ice hockey at the winter Paralympics. There was a huge crowd of 6,000 watching the Sweden play against Japan for 7th place. Walking around the Olympic village you could see the whole place had an invigorating atmosphere.
Afterwards we went to grab dinner in Pyeongchang, the seasonal ski town where the winter olympics were being held. It was a really odd quiet town. We were pointed in the direction of an area where we could get food by some amnesty workers, and ended up at a deserted crossroad lathered in old neon signs. More than half of these seemed to be advertising strip clubs and of the ten people I saw on the street, half of these were elderly men going to the strip club. It was so strange to see somewhere like that being next to the site of the winter olympics. It was really interesting, but we decided to just stick to dinner.
